Since the inception of Local 407’s Food Committee in 1984, the whole purpose was to aid our members in a time of need. Whether it is an
injury, lay-off, or a retiree who could not afford a Christmas dinner, we as the Food Committee would step in and lend a helping hand to "our own ".
Because we are a separate entity, not funded by the Local Union, we rely on fund-raisers( i.e., Vegas night, Softball Tournament, etc.) & donations
as well as the profits from the sale of hats and jackets. This is enough money to be able to have our annual Christmas food distribution and help our
members through the course of the year with monetary help when needed.

ANNUAL $5.00 DONATION

 

Please remember the $5.00 donation for the Food Committee. It will help in defraying the cost of our food distribution at Christmas time. Our older Retirees and those on medical disability look forward to this annual event.

THIS YEAR'S FOOD DISTRIBUTION IS SCHEDULED FOR DECEMBER 20th, 2008 AND WILL BE CONDUCTED AT LOCAL 407 OFFICES, 3320 SUPERIOR AVE. CLEVELAND, OHIO, 44114.

LETTERS WILL BE SENT OUT TO THOSE INDIVIDUALS WHO WILL QUALIFY TO RECEIVE A PACKAGE. PLEASE HAVE THE LETTER WITH YOU WHEN YOU PICKUP YOUR FOOD PACKAGE.

LOCAL 407'S PARKING LOT WILL BE CLOSED. HOWEVER, WE DO UNDERSTAND THAT MANY WILL WANT TO STOP AND OFFER SEASON'S GREETINGS TO BROTHER TEAMSTERS WHOM THEY HAVE NOT SEEN FOR A PERIOD OF TIME.

ALL ARE WELCOME, BUT WE DO ASK THAT YOU PARK FURTHER DOWN SUPERIOR AVE AND WALK BACK TO THE HALL SO AS TO RELIEVE ANY TRAFFIC CONGESTION AND PREVENT ANY INJURIES.

 

MEETINGS

Food Committee meetings are conducted immediately following the regular monthly meetings and will take place at 3320 Superior Ave. Cleveland, Ohio. 44114. Everyone is encouraged to participate.
